Aspectos nutricionales del enfermo renal crónico con covid-19

Abstract

This report aims to show the importance of nutritional treatment in the recovery of patients with chronic kidney disease and who also have Covid-19, in the development of this, we can find as general objective the description of nutritional and functional characteristics from various screening tests in patients with CKD who were admitted to the National Institute of Medical Sciences and Nutrition Salvador Zubiran with diagnosis of Covid-19 in a specific period of time. In addition to having as specific objectives the relationship between CKD and Covid-19 with malnutrition and fragility, whether or not there was any gastrointestinal change during the entire hospital stay, by means of the Charlson index we could know how much the comorbidities affected life expectancy, any change in the type of diet and how much variation was observed in biochemical parameters of these patients. In order to know what the role of Sars Cov 2 infection is, it is necessary to explain how it works, what it is, in what and how it affects nutritional status, etc. Besides having basic information about Covid-19, it is also important to get into chronic kidney disease, since both conditions will be treated together. So we can find the relationship between CKD and COVID, and the relationship between CKD, COVID and nutrition, since the calculation of nutritional requirements is different in renal patients than in the general population and if there is also the presence of COVID, several factors must be considered, including whether the infection is active or post infection, the stage of CKD, etc. Subsequently, the methodology, activities carried out, objectives achieved, results and conclusions will be discussed, and finally, some important recommendations will be given.

Este informe pretende dar a conocer la importancia del tratamiento nutricional en la recuperación de los pacientes con enfermedad renal crónica y que además tienen Covid-19, en el desarrollo de este, se puede encontrar como objetivo general la descripción de características nutricionales y de funcionalidad a partir de diversas pruebas de tamizaje en pacientes con ERC que ingresaron al Instituto Nacional de Ciencias Médicas y Nutrición Salvador Zubirán con diagnóstico de Covid-19 en un periodo de tiempo específico. Además de tener como objetivos específicos la relación entre la enfermedad renal crónica y Covid-19 con desnutrición y fragilidad, si hubo o no algún cambio gastrointestinal durante toda la estancia hospitalaria, mediante el índice de Charlson se pudo conocer qué tanto afectaron las comorbilidades a la esperanza de vida, algún cambio en el tipo de alimentación y que tanta variación se observó en parámetros bioquímicos de estos pacientes. Para poder conocer cuál es el papel de la infección por Sars Cov 2, es necesario explicar cómo funciona, qué es, en qué y cómo afecta el estado nutricio, etc. Además de tener información básica sobre Covid-19, es importante también adentrarnos a la enfermedad renal crónica, ya que ambos padecimientos se tratarán en conjunto. Así que se puede encontrar la relación entre ERC y COVID, y la relación entre ERC, COVID y nutrición ya que el cálculo de requerimientos nutricionales es diferente en enfermos renales que en la población en general y si además hay presencia de COVID, hay que considerar diversos factores, entre ellos si la infección está activa o ya es post infección, el estadio en el que se encuentra de la ERC, etc. Posteriormente se tratará la metodología, actividades realizadas, objetivos alcanzados, resultados y conclusiones, y por último se darán algunas recomendaciones importantes.
