Mexico is one of the centers of origin and domestication of the common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.), for which there is a wide genetic variability, as evidenced by the 6,884 Mexican accessions protected in the Bean Germplasm Bank of the National Forestry Research Institute. , Agricultural and Livestock (INIFAP). In the State of Guerrero, beans rank sixth in planted area, with an annual average of 15,421 ha, which generate a total of 11,155 t of grain per year, here there is also a great diversity of varieties and types of beans in in terms of color, size and growth habit. The main objective of this Social Service project was to provide technical advice (100% online), help to achieve the proper development of greenhouse bean cultivation and all the variants involved in establishing an agricultural crop, such as: selection of seeds and substrates, germination, crop establishment, vegetative development, irrigation and fertilization program generation, pest and disease control, plant maintenance (pruning, thinning, tutoring), and grain harvesting. The objectives previously set and accepted by the interdisciplinary group of researchers involved in said project were met, managing to identify 14 different varieties of common beans that are consumed and planted in various locations on the large coast of Guerrero, highlighting Huapinol and Negro as the beans. of greater consumption and planting in the entity.
