Migración infantil de retorno en Hidalgo: retos educativos y de inclusión social

Abstract

The article aims to identify the sociocultural and pedagogical needs of returning migrant students in Hidalgo, analyzing two spaces of coexistence: the basic education system and the host societies. A mixed methodology is used through structured questionnaires and discussion groups, to find out the opinions and attitudes that teachers and migrant minors have about the inclusion and exclusion processes that take place in both environments. The study concludes that child return migration has an idealization of life in the United States and a negative perception of returning to Mexico.

El artículo tiene por objetivo identificar las necesidades socioculturales y pedagógicas de los alumnos migrantes de retorno en Hidalgo, analizando dos espacios de convivencia: el sistema de educación básica y las sociedades de acogida. Se emplea una metodología mixta mediante cuestionarios estructurados y grupos de discusión, para conocer las opiniones y actitudes que los docentes y los menores migrantes tienen sobre los procesos de inclusión y exclusión que se gestan en ambos entornos. El estudio concluye que la migración infantil de retorno tiene una idealización de la vida en Estados Unidos y una percepción negativa del regreso a México.
