Terrorismo Transnacional, Violencia, Religión y Territorialidad: El Caso de Boko Haram en Nigeria (2002-2020).

Abstract

The objective of this research is to present the case of the terrorist group Boko Haram in Nigeria, analyzed from the perspective of violence, religion and territoriality. At the beginning, these variables are analyzed from a theoretical-conceptual point of view, with the purpose of allowing the reader to delve into the subject. The second part of the investigation focuses on the emergence and development of the group, as well as suicidal acts and the implementation and effects of violence in Nigeria and neighboring countries, as well as the scope and limitations of national and regional actions to combat it. The third part deals with studying the ideology of the group, specifically what refers to the religion they profess and how they use it to justify the violence with which they are directed and to achieve their goals, in the same way, it is carried out carried out the analysis of some of the speeches that the group has issued, in order to demonstrate the symbolic violence that they have implemented. Finally, in the last part of the text, the territoriality claims and the effects of the spatiality of the violence exercised by Boko Haram are shown, where issues such as the territorial ambitions of the group are analyzed through the creation of a quasi-state of jihadist nature. - Islamist, as well as its links with other terrorist groups in the region and its claims of territorial expansion to other countries bordering Nigeria

El objetivo de esta investigación es analizar el caso del grupo terrorista Boko Haram en Nigeria, desde la perspectiva de la violencia, la religión y la territorialidad. Al inicio se analizan estas variables desde un punto de vista teórico- conceptual, con la finalidad de que el lector se adentre al tema. La segunda parte de la investigación se centra en el surgimiento y desarrollo del grupo, así como los actos suicidas y la implementación y efectos de la violencia en Nigeria y países vecinos, así como los alcances y limitaciones de las acciones nacionales y regionales para su combate. La tercera parte se ocupa de estudiar la ideología del grupo, específicamente lo que se refiere a la religión que profesan y como usan ésta para justificar la violencia con la que se dirigen y para el logro de sus fines, de igual manera, se lleva a cabo el análisis de algunos de los discursos que ha emitido el grupo, con la finalidad de evidenciar la violencia simbólica que han implementado. Finalmente, en la última parte del texto se muestran los reclamos de territorialidad y los efectos de la espacialidad de la violencia ejercidos por Boko Haram, donde se analizan temas como las ambiciones territoriales del grupo a través de la creación de un cuasi estado de corte yihadista- islamista, así como también sus nexos con otros grupos terroristas de la región y sus pretensiones de expansión territorial hacia otros países limítrofes a Nigeria.
