Actualización del listado de especies de anfibios y reptiles de la Sierra de Guadalupe

Abstract

The activities were carried out at the offices of the Directorate of Protected Natural Areas and Areas of Environmental Value (DANPAVA) in the Sierra de Guadalupe, Mexico City. The general objective of the social service was to update the list of amphibian and reptile species in the Sierra de Guadalupe, which resulted in a total of 22 species, 18 corresponding to the reptile group while 4 to amphibians. The bibliographic review of 10 documents on studies carried out on the herpetofauna present in the Sierra de Guadalupe was carried out, in addition to the review of another 16 documents whose purpose was the collection of more specific data on the different aspects of the species registered in the area, such as distribution, habitat, conservation status, reproduction, feeding and taxonomy, and with this, 22 technical sheets of the species present were prepared. A new database with updated records of the species reported by DANPAVA was also created. The updating and elaboration of a distribution map of the species was carried out, where the updated records of the individuals distributed in the different hills that make up the Sierra de Guadalupe are shown, said map was made in the Geographic Information System (Qgis) program. with records provided by DANPAVA and finally, for informative purposes, a manual of scientific illustration of the species present in the Sierra de Guadalupe was prepared.

Las actividades realizadas se llevaron a cabo en las oficinas de la Dirección de Áreas Naturales Protegidas y Áreas de Valor Ambiental (DANPAVA) en la Sierra de Guadalupe, Ciudad de México. El objetivo general del servicio social fue la actualización del listado de especies de anfibios y reptiles en la Sierra de Guadalupe, el cual tuvo como resultado un total de 22 especies, 18 correspondientes al grupo de los reptiles mientras que 4 a los anfibios. Se realizó la revisión bibliográfica de 10 documentos sobre estudios realizados acerca de la herpetofauna presente en la Sierra de Guadalupe, además de la revisión de otros 16 documentos cuya finalidad fue la recopilación de datos más específicos sobre los distintos aspectos de las especies registradas en el área, como la distribución, hábitat, estado de conservación, reproducción, alimentación y taxonomía y con ello se elaboraron 22 fichas técnicas de las especies presentes. También se elaboró una nueva base de datos con registros actualizados de las especies reportadas por la DANPAVA. Se realizó la actualización y elaboración de un mapa de distribución de las especies donde se muestran los registros actualizados de los individuos distribuidos en los distintos cerros que conforman la Sierra de Guadalupe, dicho mapa fue realizado en el programa de Sistema de Información Geográfica (Qgis) con registros proporcionados por la DANPAVA y finalmente con fines divulgativos se realizó la elaboración de un manual de ilustración científica de las especies presentes en la Sierra de Guadalupe.
