Abstract: | Although the matter about ethnic groups has been a traditional topic in mexican anthropology, ethnic youth has not been the main focus in social or anthropological research. Among the reasons for this lack of concern lies the non existence, at least until recently, of an age period that could be recognized, under study by the ethnic society, as differentiated between infancy and adulthood. Here I cover the recent formation and recognition of an age group that can be labeled as youth among the ethnics of displacement in Mexico City. I also ask myself about the contributions that these ethnic juvenile experiences make to the concepts of youth in the contemporary world.
