Autobiografías y género

Abstract

As tradition or apparent objectivity, the social sciences and the humanities have omitted any reference to the author, responsible of the research process. This emptiness that the lack of subject represents for research has motivated reflection in genre studies, giving visibility to the subject, providing personal links with the object under study, and giving life and foundations to that object. In this article I present the methodology of assisted autobiography as a resource to trace the origin, give context to the topic of investigation and recover the forgotten bonds of the subject with the research topic –the object under study– which is removed in the way of “subjective unpolluting” which is frequently demanded from academic work.

Que ce soit par tradition ou par prétention d’objectivité, les sciences humaines et sociales omettent en général toute référence à l’auteur responsable du processus de recherche. Ce vide a suscité, dans le cadre des études féministes, une réflexion qui a donné une visibilité au sujet. Dans cet article, je présente la méthodologie de “l’autobiographie assistée” comme un outil pour retracer l’origine d’un projet, contextualiser le thème de recherche et récupérer les liens oubliés du sujet avec son objet d’étude.

Sea por tradición o por pretensiones de objetividad, las ciencias sociales y las humanidades han omitido cualquier referencia al autor(a) responsable del proceso de investigación. Este vacío ha sido motivo de reflexión en los estudios de género, que han dado visibilidad al sujeto. En este artículo presento la metodología de la “autobiografía asistida” como un recurso para trazar el origen, contextualizar el tema de investigación y recuperar los lazos olvidados del sujeto con su objeto de estudio.
