Los siete samurái: la irrepetible obra de Akira Kurosawa Dos casos de traducción intrasemiótica

Abstract

Actualmente el cine japonés ha tenido un mayor alcance, logrando ser proyectado en las pantallas internacionales y dejando conocer no sólo su cultura, también sus tradiciones, ideología y concepción del mundo a través de la pantalla grande. Cuenta con un gran número de géneros que, en la mayoría, retratan la vida cotidiana de los japoneses, o las situaciones por las que han pasado y que forman parte de su historia. Uno de los pioneros del cine de oro japonés fue Akira Kurosawa quien junto a su generación logró dar a conocer lo que se hacía en su país y retrataba en sus filmes muchos de los acontecimientos que la nación vivió y que marcó su vida en muchos ámbitos. Además de ser un crítico social, Kurosawa se considera un director humanísta, quien ponía a prueba a sus personajes dentro de la historia y mostraban lo real del Japón de esa época, lo que se vivía en las calles y las situaciones por las que pasaba cualquier persona o grupo. Una de estas historias que llegó a cautivar por el trágico trasfondo fue la película de Shichinin no samurai (Los siete samurai) estrenada en 1954. Este filme es el reflejo de lo que los japonenses sufrieron en la ocupación norteamericana después de la Segunda Guerra Mundial. El objetivo de esta tesis es mostrar la importancia que tiene esta gran obra, tanto en su lenguaje cinematográfico, como en el valor en su país y el impacto que tuvo internacionalmente en la historia del cine mundial. Ya que a partir de esta película, Hollywood decidió hacer dos remakes con el título The Magnificent Seven en 1960 y 2016, copiando la premisa principal pero distinguiéndose cada uno por los diferentes aspectos cinematográficos, ideológicos y culturales. Esto hace que los elementos utilizados en la película de Kurosawa sean únicos, irrepetibles y distintivos de su cine, es decir, la firma de autor que construyó en esta cinta, no se ha podido igualar a pesar de los homenajes y traducciones que se han hecho y muy difícilmente se podrá llegar a trasmitir todo lo que existe en Los siete samurai.

The objective of this thesis is to show the importance of this great work, both in its cinematographic language, as in the value in its country and the impact it had internationally in the history of world cinema. Since from this film, Hollywood decided to make two remakes with the title The Magnificent Seven in 1960 and 2016, copying the main premise but distinguishing each one by the different cinematographic, ideological and cultural aspects. This makes the elements used in Kurosawas film unique, unrepeatable and distinctive of his cinema, that is, the authors signature that built on this film, has not been able to match despite the tributes and translations that have been made and it is very difficult to transmit everything that exists in The seven samurai.
