¿ Integrados o marginados? El Partido Acción Nacional

Abstract

The current situation faced by the pan results from a conflict that has persisted since its foundation. From its origin, this political party has participated in the creation of the Mexican State by opting for being an opposition that stays within institutional limits. However, there has always been a sector within itself that pushes for a more radical course of action. Groups that belong to that wing were marginalized from the PAN’s development and excluded from the State’s political project. Towards the end of the twentieth century, different members of those groups emerged, decided to dispute the control of the party and the Mexican State´s project.

La situación actual que vive el pan es producto de una dualidad que marcó su fundación y desarrollo posterior. Como partido se integró, desde la oposición, a la construcción del Estado, toda vez que optó por la vía institucional de su acción política. Esa elección implicó la marginación en su vida interna de distintos grupos de derecha que insistían en la actuación radical hacia un Estado que también los excluyó de su proyecto político. Tras avanzar por distintas vías, al final del siglo XX varios de esos actores relegados emergieron a través del PAN, decididos a disputar el control del partido y el proyecto estatal.
