Los Actores culturales entre la tentación comunitaria y el mercado global: El resurgimiento del Son Jarocho

Abstract

El presente artículo pretende reflexionar sobre la constitución de actores culturales en México mediante el análisis de la tensión existente entre la nostalgia de una estructura reguladora de los contenidos simbólicos nacionales y la aceptación de las reglas del mercado global; esto apoyado en el estudio de la construcción actual de las pertenencias identitarias de los músicos tradicionales de Veracruz y los procesos de reconocimiento y creación artística que han establecido con las comunidades transnacionales de California.

The present article tries to deepen in the constitution of cultural actors in Mexico by means of the analysis of the existing tension between nostalgia, inside a regulating structure of the national symbolic contents, and the acceptance of the rules of the global market; this will be supported with the study of the present construction of the identity properties on the traditional musicians of Veracruz and the processes of recognition and artistic creation that they have established with the transnational communities of California.
