| Abstract: | A través del concepto de hegemonía se aportan elementos para una crítica de la globalización. Se trata de mostrar los alcances y los límites del pensamiento dominante en el terreno de la economía mundial. A la discusión conceptual se suma el análisis de la competencia entre empresas trasnacionales en las llamadas tecnologías de la información. De manera puntual, se hacen algunas aperturas hacia las implicaciones que todo ello tiene para la economía y la nación mexicanas. Through the concept of hegemony elements are given for a critique of globalization. Our aim is to show the contributions and limits of dominant thought in the realm of world economy. To the conceptual debate, we add the analysis of competition among transnational corporations in the information technologies sector and, more particulary, some remarks are made towards the implications these have for the Mexican economy and nation. |
