Revolución y finanzas públicas. El caso del Estado de México, 1910-1928

Abstract

This study has two objectives. The first is to understand the way, the intensity and the extent to which the cycle of military and political conflicts of the Mexican revolution affected public finances and the tributary system in the State of Mexico. The second is to evaluate the repercussions that it had on the public economy at the state level. This is, in an arena where the situation of state public funds is related to the wellbeing of citizens through the assignation of the spending and goods and services offered.

Este estudio propone dos objetivos. El primero es entender de qué manera, con qué intensidad y hasta qué punto el ciclo de conflictos militares y políticos de la Revolución mexicana afectó las finanzas públicas y el sistema fiscal en el Estado de México. El segundo, evaluar las repercusiones que ello pudo tener en la economía pública estatal, esto es, el terreno en el que la situación del erario se vincula con el bienestar de los ciudadanos mediante la asignación del gasto y los bienes y servicios ofrecidos.
