Abstract

This article argues that there is a homology between ethnicity and race and gender and sex. The historical content of the categaries ethnicity, race, gen-der and sex is analyzed. It posits that social differences have been naturalized for the purpose of political and economic domination, and that within bour-geois society there is a close relationship between racism and sexism.

En este artículo se argumenta que hay una homología entre etnicidad-raza y género-sexo. Se analiza el contenido histórico de las categorías etnicidad, raza, género y sexo. Se postula que las diferencias socia¬les han sido naturalizadas confines de la dominación política y económica, y que en la sociedad burguesa hay una relación estrecha entre el racismo y el sexismo.
