Entre cristianos y judíos: Linajes, ratones y otras impertinencias

Abstract

This arricie tries to demonstrate how the identities in human groups are constructed denying the other, the different; and how the rivalry between groups remain throughout the time, when it is intensified by the speeches and attitudes of the most powerful group. It also investigates, from its origins, the disputes between Christians and Jews in ancient and modern Spain. This dispute teaches us clearly, that the hate between human groups is capable to establish the most unbelievable measures of discrimination, such as the called statutes of blood cleaning.

El presente artículo pretende demostrar cómo las identidades en los grupos humanos se construyen negando al otro, al diferente. Y cómo la rivalidad entre los grupos permanece a lo largo del tiempo cuan¬do es avivada por los discursos y las actitudes del grupo más poderoso. Así mismo investiga, desde sus orígenes, las disputas entre cristianos y judíos en la España antigua y moderna. Disputa que nos enseña claramente, además, que el odio entre los grupos humanos es capaz de establecer las medidas más dispa¬ratadas o inverosímiles de discriminación como fueron los llamados estatutos de limpieza de sangre.
