Epistemología de género: Las mujeres zapatistas de Roberto Barrios

Abstract

El presente artículo aborda, desde la epistemología de género, la problemática de las mujeres zapatistas de una comunidad base de apoyo del EZLN y la manera en que ellas comienzan a organizarse y a resistir en un contexto de guerra y de lucha más amplia. De esta manera, las mujeres de Roberto Barrios luchan, a la par de otras mujeres indígenas de otros movimientos sociales y otras latitudes, por demandas muy similares. Y, con su esfuerzo, van logrando poco a poco que sus condiciones de género no les sean tan adversas, con lo que fomentan la esperanza para las mujeres de futuras generaciones

This article addresses, from the viewpoint of gender epistemology, the problems faced by Zapatista women in a community that is a keystone of EZLN support and they way in which they are beginning to organize and offer resistance in a broader context of war and struggle. Thus, the women of Roberto Barrios are struggling, along with other indigenous women in other social movements and locations, for very similar demands. And, with their efforts, they are overcoming the adverse conditions of their gender, thereby fueling hope for the women of future generations.
