Las ciencias sociales y sus vínculos con la ciencia médica

Abstract

This article addresses the relationship between social sciences and medicine, and it describes the first guidelines that gave shape to what we now know as social medicine. It offers an overview of some of the research these two disciplines have carried out in our country, including studies of the history of medicine, of gender studies, and of social security.

El presente artículo aborda la relación entre las ciencias sociales y la medicina, y se plantean los primeros lineamientos que dieron forma a lo que hoy conocemos como medicina social. Se hace una semblanza de algunas de las investigaciones que han llevado a cabo en nuestro país estas dos disciplinas, como son los estudios históricos sobre medicina, los estudios de género y los de seguridad social.
