Polifonía proletaria: Sandra Arenal entre el testimonio y la literatura

Abstract

This text addresses some nodal points in Sandra Arenal’s use of the testimonies of anessentially proletarian social group. The way in which the writer uses the differentvoices of characters of the working and labor culture, contribute to imagine theconformation of the physiognomy of the subaltern classes, their learning rhythmsand their main motives of struggle. Sandra Arenal alternates between testimony asa source for history and testimony as an inspiration for literature. The proletarianpolyphony of Mexico in the second half of the twentieth century parades throughthe pages of her work.

Este texto aborda algunos puntos nodales del uso que hace Sandra Arenal de los testimonios de un conjunto social esencialmente proletariado. La forma en que la escritora utiliza las distintas voces de personajes de la cultura obrera y del trabajo, contribuyen a imaginar la conformación de la fisonomía de las clases subalternas, sus ritmos de aprendizaje y sus principales motivos de lucha. Sandra Arenal alterna, entre el testimonio como fuente para la historia, y el mismo como inspiración para la literatura. Por las páginas de su autoría desfila la polifonía proletaria del México de la segunda mitad del siglo XX.
