Las Universidades para el Bienestar Benito Juárez García: fundación, oferta educativa y primeros resultados

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to analyze from a critical exploration the design and imple­mentation of a public policy in the field of education, specifically the Benito Juárez García Universities for Wellbeing (UBBJG). In order to illustrate how it contributes to the develo­pment of the national higher education system in terms of coverage and expansion of the educational offer for the Mexican youth and society benefit. For this purpose, a documen­tary research was carried out, which includes the review of bibliographic, audiovisual and electronic resources, particularly, the press conferences of the federal welfare programs were examined, where society was informed about the progress of the UBBJG program, in order to contrast with what is stated in the regulatory documents and government reports on the first years of operation and their respective results.

El presente artículo tiene como objetivo analizar desde una postura crítica el diseño y la puesta en marcha de una política pública en materia educativa, nos referimos a las Universi­dades para el Bienestar Benito Juárez García (UBBJG). Con el fin de ilustrar de qué manera contribuye al desarrollo del sistema nacional de educación superior en términos de cobertura y ampliación de la oferta educativa para beneficio de la juventud y la sociedad mexicana. Para ello, se llevó a cabo una investigación de carácter documental, que incluye la revisión de recursos bibliográficos, audiovisuales y electrónicos; específicamente, se examinaron las conferencias de prensa de los programas federales del bienestar, en las que se informó a la sociedad sobre los avances de las UBBJG, para hacer un contraste con lo señalado en los documentos normativos e informes gubernamentales sobre los primeros años de operación y sus respectivos resultados.
