La cuestión de la vía democrática al socialismo

Abstract

Este escrito busca destacar aspectos centrales del Estado capitalista, del poder político y del aparato de Estado, con el fin de discutir las tesis de Nicos Poulantzas sobre una “vía democrática al socialismo”. La presencia de diversos gobiernos calificados como populares o progresistas, particularmente numerosos desde el inicio del siglo XXI en la región, constituye un incentivo para esta discusión. Aquí no se pretende poner en cuestión la pertinencia de que fuerzas de izquierda busquen triunfos electorales para alcanzar posiciones relevantes en el aparato de Estado como parte de sus luchas. El espíritu que lo anima es destacar los nudos a que se enfrentan tales experiencias, en un cuadro de debilidad de debates estratégicos en la izquierda regional y mundial.

The text aims to highlight some of the core aspects of the capitalist State, of political power and of the State apparatus, in order to discuss Nicos Poulantzas thesis regarding a “democratic road to socialism”. The presence of several governments qualified as popular or progressive, particularly numerous from the beginnings of 21st century in the region, motivates this discussion. The point is not to question the relevance of left-wing forces pursuing electoral triumphs and reaching significant positions within the State apparatus as part of their fights. The spirit is to adress the knots that those experiences face, in a context of weakness of the strategic debates in both regional and global left.
