Abstract

This article analyzes the work of photojournalist Pedro Valtierra, including images with social content in its historical context. To this end, we have clarified the dates, places and editorial links. In regard to the role of the text as an indicator of journalistic discourse, in our work we assume that served not only to describe what you see, but to guide the reader on how to interpret the image.

El presente artículo estudia la obra del fotorreportero Pedro Valtierra, en particular las imágenes con contenido social en su contexto histórico. Con este fin se han precisado las fechas, los lugares y los vínculos editoriales. En lo que se refiere a la función del texto como indicador del discurso periodístico, en nuestro trabajo se asume que sirvió no sólo para describir lo que se ve, sino para guiar al lector sobre cómo interpretar la imagen.
