El Chili Western: La Versión Mexicana del Oeste

Abstract

El Chili Western es un genero desarrollado por el cine mexicano a partir de los años sesentas. Esta investigación hace una exploración histórica coyuntural de las condiciones que permitieron su presencia en la industria cinematográfica. El objetivo es reconocer las características del genero a través de la exploración de su estructura narrativa, el uso del lenguaje cinematográfico y sus personajes. Con ello pretendemos hacer una valoración de la expresión fílmica nacional. Se incluye el análisis cinematográfico de seis películas representativas del Chili Western

The Chili Western is a genre developed by the Mexican cinema from the sixties. This research makes a circumstantial historical exploration of the conditions that permitted its existence in the national film industry. The goal is to recognize the characteristics of the genre through the exploration of its narrative structure, the use of film language and its characters.
