Euforia de género: la representación del travesti en la fotografía regiomontana de Aristeo Jiménez

Abstract

This paper presents some advances of a research project whose theme is the speech Aristeo Jiménez photo of his book Eye of the panicked look (2009) because what matters is identifying the representation of transvestites in photography, is located within the processes of democratization and socio-sexual regulation that determine the ways in which they understood and perceived gender identity. The body transvestite clothing by male and female binary question erecting new forms of meaning and representation to challenge the social construction of only two genders. We analyze a photograph of Aristeo Jiménez from the perspective of gender and aesthetics (emotional reception).

El presente trabajo presenta algunos avances de un proyecto de investigación que tiene como tema el discurso fotográfico de Aristeo Jiménez de su libro Ojos que da pánico mirar (2009) debido a cual lo que interesa identificar es la representación de los travestis en la fotografía, es decir, ubicarlo dentro de los procesos de democratización socio-sexual y su regulación sexual que condicionan los modos en los cuales se entiende y se percibe la identidad género. El cuerpo travesti por su indumentaria cuestiona el binarismo masculino y femenino erigiendo nuevas formas de sentido y representación que cuestionan la construcción social de sólo dos géneros. Se analiza una fotografía de Aristeo Jiménez desde la perspectiva de género y la estética (recepción emocional).
