Influenza, medios, rumores y emociones en los quince días que conmovieron a México

Abstract

This text is a brief review and discussion concerning the information produced by the government and the media during the time of the sanitary contingency due to flu and the virus A H1N1, between April and May of 2009 in Mexico. The official information and its diffusion in the media are revised, as well as the different versions of the rumors in Internet on the topic. In this text the main focus is the relationship between rumors and emotions but the relationship among culture, emotions and reality is also considered.

Revisión y reflexión en torno a la información del gobierno y los medios de comunicación durante el tiempo de la contingencia sanitaria debido a la influenza y el virus A H1N1, entre abril y mayo de 2009 en México. Se revisa la información oficial y su difusión en los medios, así como la versión de los rumores en internet acerca del tema. Particularmente se aborda la relación entre rumores y emociones y, de modo general, la relación entre cultura, emociones y realidad.
