El movimiento global del resistencias y las redes

Abstract

The global movement of resistances and networks. Communicative networks have played a relevant role in the gestation of the “movement of movements” that, based on the rejection of the neo-liberal globalization, has manifested itself on a multinational level. The relations that persons, groups and organizations establish beyond their localities, often supported by such new technologies as the Internet, allow the emergence of a counter-hegemonic, plural and versatile will, which explodes and spreads in many directions. These resistances to globalization have resorted to a variety of actions in order to become visible: from demonstrations against economic world institutions to the days of decentralized actions and cyber-activism.

Las redes comunicativas han tenido un papel relevante en la gestación del “movimiento de movimientos” que bajo el paraguas del rechazo a la globalización neoliberal se ha manifestado a escala transnacional. Las relaciones que establecen personas, grupos y organizaciones más allá de sus localidades, muchas veces sostenidas a través de las nuevas tecnologías como Internet, permiten la emergencia de una voluntad contrahegemónica, plural y polifacética, que estalla en muchas direcciones. Estas resistencias a la globalización han apelado a un repertorio de acciones para hacerse visibles: desde las marchas contra las instituciones económicas mundiales o los días de acciones descentralizadas hasta el ciberactivismo.
