Segmentación social y creación normativa

Abstract

Social segmentation and normative creation. Emergence and historicity of political subjects. From a reflection on Durkheim’s thought, this article invites us to think carefully about the zones of normative indetermination and possible gestation of something new in society from the analysis of the operations of juxtaposition, merging and coalescence of social segments. It implies directing our gaze not only towards the conflicting processes derived from the clear confrontation among social segments, but also towards those processes where the force of different normative requirements and the apparent normative integration from the merger of segments can be simultaneously observed, conditions that in certain moments lead to the manifest emergence of normative differences. According to the author in these zones of normative indetermination it is possible to think of freedom, creation, political actors, choice, orientated action, beyond the force of the obligatory nature of the norm.

Desde una reflexión sobre el pensamiento de Durkheim, en este artículo se invita a pensar detenidamente sobre esas zonas de indeterminación normativa y posible gestación de lo nuevo en la sociedad a partir del análisis de las operaciones de yuxtaposición, fusión y coalescencia de los segmentos sociales. Ello implica dirigir la mirada no sólo a los procesos conflictivos derivada de la confrontación clara entre los segmentos sociales, sino también a aquellos procesos en donde se observa simultáneamente la vigencia de distintas exigencias normativas y la aparente integración normativa a partir de la fusión de segmentos, condiciones que conducen en ciertos momentos a que afloren las diferencias normativas. De acuerdo con el autor en esas zonas de indeterminación normativa es posible pensar la libertad, la creación, al actor político, la elección, la acción orientada, más allá de la fuerza de obligatoriedad de la norma.
