Análisis crítico del discurso

Abstract

In this paper we examine the relation between the conceptual categories of poverty and corruption in the discourse of the press in Argentina. The problem of poverty is the topic of an on-going research project (Pardo et al., 2003), which analyses the way in which arguments are presented in the press regarding how the present economic, political and social situation arose in Argentina. Our analysis shows that the concept of corruption is seen as a highly relevant factor for explaining some of the possible causes of the present poverty index in the country.

En este estudio se examina la relación entre las categorías conceptuales indigencia y corrupción en el discurso de la prensa en Argentina. El problema de la indigencia es el objeto de una investigación en curso (Pardo et al., 2003) —en el que la corrupción ingresa como un factor altamente relevante para explicar algunas las posibles causas del índice de la pobreza que registra actualmente este país— que analiza particularmente el modo en que se presentan en los discursos, los argumentos acerca de cómo la Argentina llegó a la actual situación económica, política y social.
