Socialidad y medios de comunicación

Abstract

En este trabajo se plantea la necesidad de crear un marco para pensar a los distintos grupos que actúan en las ciudades y sus posibilidades de acceso a la visibilidad social. Se considera que es a través del espacio público desde donde puede aprehenderse la relación entre formas de socialidad y medios de comunicación. La autora concluye que la lucha de los distintos grupos por el acceso al espacio publico y a los medios de comunicación como parte de el, se enfrenta una la tendencia a la homogenización en un juego de avances y repliegues que es necesario estudiar para imaginar nuevos mundos posibles.

In this essay, the author posits the need to create a framework which will allow us to reflect upon the dynamic of the different groups which interact and inhabit the cities, as well as their possibilities of achieving "social visibility". It is through public spaces that the relationship between the media and the different patterns of socialization can be apprehended. The author concludes that the struggle of the different groups for access to public spaces, including the media, confronts the homogenizing tendencies of power. This struggle is a complex interplay of give and take which must be rethought in order to open up the imagination to new worlds as a possibility.
