Autenticidad como encuentro

Abstract

A partir de la polémica Mead-Freeman que pone en tela de juicio la "objetividad" del trabajo etnográfico, el autor desarrolla su tesis relativa a la relación dialéctica de distancia/cercanía que se establece entre el investigador y su objeto de estudio. El autor propone que esta relación debe ser dialogica y de autenticidad", es decir una relación en la que el etnólogo haga explicito su compromiso y el grado de distancia/cercanía que: tiene con los sujetos de su investigación.

Based on the Mead-Freeman polemics which questions the "objectivity" of the ethnographic work the author develops his thesis according to the dialectic relation of distance/closeness which is established between the researcher and his object of study. The author proposes that this relation must be dialogic and "authentic", this means that it must be a relation in which the ethnologist makes explicit his compromise and the degree of closeness/distance he will have with his objects of research.
