In this article three terms are addressed from the Cuban perspective that attempt to contribute to updating the knowledge concerning concepts that are used in Latin American and Caribbean rural development: “rural peasantry”, “urban agriculture” and “food sovereignty”, these same representing the three basic pillars of rural development and the satisfaction of the population’s food needs. |
