Contribución desde Cuba a la actualización de los términos campesinado, agricultura urbana y soberanía alimentaria

Abstract

En este artículo se abordan tres términos desde la óptica cubana que pretenden contribuir a la actualización del conocimiento sobre conceptos que se manejan en el desarrollo rural en América Latina y el Caribe: “campesinado”, “agricultura urbana” y “soberanía alimentaria”, mismos que representan los tres pilares básicos para el desarrollo rural y la satisfacción de alimentos de la población.

In this article three terms are addressed from the Cuban perspective that attempt to contribute to updating the knowledge concerning concepts that are used in Latin American and Caribbean rural development: “rural peasantry”, “urban agriculture” and “food sovereignty”, these same representing the three basic pillars of rural development and the satisfaction of the population’s food needs.
