La tortura como inscripción del dolor en el cuerpo

Abstract

The torture is a practice that inscribes the pain in the body which treads indelibly. From calculated and regulated techniques, it submits the tortured one of a terrible suffering that goes beyond the body devastating subjectivity. Indeed, that is the target of torment, to break through the physical martyrdom, one by one, the subjective ties, leaving the subject in a state of complete vulnerability. This article addresses this form of submission as a tool of State repression, used to obtain information and disrupt dissident movements that threaten the commanding power, but also as a form of punishment, avoidance of resistance capability, the absolute destruction of the subject to achieve his total domination. Some survivor’s voices of the Argentine dictatorship included in the text, realizing of the effects of the unlimited application of the torment.

La tortura es una práctica que inscribe el dolor en el cuerpo cual huella indeleble. A partir de técnicas calculadas y reglamentadas, somete al torturado a un terrible sufrimiento que va más allá de lo corporal, devastando la subjetividad. De hecho, ése es el objetivo del tormento, romper por la vía del martirio físico, uno a uno, los amarres subjetivos, dejando al sujeto en un estado de absoluta vulnerabilidad. En este artículo se aborda esta forma de sometimiento como herramienta de represión estatal, utilizada para obtener información y así desarticular los movimientos disidentes que atentan contra el poder imperante, pero también como forma de castigo, anulación de la capacidad de resistencia y arrasamiento absoluto del sujeto para lograr su dominación total. Algunas voces de sobrevivientes de la dictadura argentina acompañan el texto, dando cuenta de los efectos de la aplicación ilimitada del tormento.
