Resonancias mítico religiosas de un movimiento de resistencia

Abstract

The text is about the form in which a mythical narrative from the XVI century is used in the community of Tepoztlan, Morelos in order to reinterpret their actual problems, particularly the fight against the construction of a Golf Club foreign to their interests. It includes a description of the legend, the ritual and the specific way in which they legitimate their tradition, historical memory and values within their political and social life.

El texto aborda la manera en que una narrativa mítica cuyo origen se remonta al siglo XVI es utilizada actualmente por una comunidad para reinterpretar los problemas y conflictos que enfrentan, específicamente en su lucha de resistencia ante un proyecto ajeno a los intereses del pueblo. Se hace una descripción de la leyenda del héroe y el ritual que se celebra, así como la manera en que se inserta y legitima la tradición, la memoria histórica y los valores propios del lugar en la vida social y política.
