Lacan, sobre el estilo

Abstract

Michel Arrive confronts in this essay a multifaceted problem: that famous analogy between the structure of language and unconscious. Taking as a point of departure Lacan's aphorism on "unconscious structured as a language", the author of this text seeks to unveil the hidden implications of a general question: that of the imprisonment of the subject by the power of language, in other words, the question of style. But the challenge that Arrive has taken on is much more complex: he tries to apply the very same arguments of Lacan's reflection on style particularly around Schreber's case to his own characterization of Lacan's style. Undoubtedly we must understand the expression "Lacan's style" a the laborions who which he did on the materiality of language: that play of homophones and homonyms that yield necessarily to a crash in the chain of significants.

Michel Arrive aborda en este ensayo u n problema que tiene sin duda muchas aristas: aquel de la analogía entre la estructura del lenguaje y el inconsciente. Partiendo del aforismo lacaniano "el inconsciente estructurado como un lenguaje", el autor escudriña las implicaciones de una cuestión general: aquella del aprisionamiento del sujeto por C I lenguaje, en otras palabras del estilo. Pero el reto que asumió Michel Arrive reviste una complejidad mayor: retorna la reflexión del propio Lacan sobre la cuestión del estilo, en particular en torno al caso Schreber, y aplica los mismos argumentos a la caracterización del estilo de Lacan. Sin duda, debemos entender la expresión "el estilo de Lacan" como el laborioso trabajo que el ejerció sobre la materialidad de la lengua: el juego de homofonías y homografías que conducen ineluctablemente a un estallamiento del significante.
