Los desfiladeros del cuerpo danzante

Abstract

This article is an attempt to identify some of the subjective processes that build and uphold dancing in its theatrical modality in the contemporary world. It starts with a subjective notion founded on the idea of the unavoidably conflictive structure of human condition and from viewing dance as a characteristic expression of people trough out history and its different cultures. Dance is an art that uses a corporal and poetic language to dramatize deep human cravings connected with the enigma life and death. The collective construction, called "mythical corp", based on playing with unconscious fantasies related to body image, and the hope of overcoming both the fragility and temporality that characterizes the human body, creates the social imagery that, together with its cultural and institutional dimensions, produces the dancing body: the dancer.

Este artículo es un intento por identificar algunos de los procesos de la subjetividad que construyen y sostienen a la actividad dancística en su modalidad teatral en el mundo contemporáneo. Se parte de una noción de subjetividad que se fundamenta en la idea de una estructura irremediablemente conflictiva de la condición humana, y de una mirada sobre la danza como expresión característica del ser humano a través de la historia y las diferentes culturas, arte que a través de un lenguaje corporal y político escenifica anhelos profundos relativos a los enigmas de la vida y la muerte. La construcción colectiva denominada "cuerpo mítico" que recrea la fantasmática inconsciente en tomo a la imagen corporal y la ilusión de trascender el carácter precario y transitorio que define al cuerpo humano, arman el imaginario social que, junto a las dimensiones institucional y cultural que le son propias, producen al cuerpo danzante: el bailarín.
