Productores del sufrimiento psíquico en el personal de salud

Abstract

This article is an academic essay, in which we tried to recover, organize and present the conditions in which health personnel have carried out their work during the Covid-19 pandemic and show how the psychological discomfort that is generated there seems to come from of the collective meanings, symbols, links, representations and passions that challenge subjectivity. For this purpose, testimonies of personnel working in hospitals in Mexico City and in State of Mexico are recovered. Six sources of psychic suffering are identified, which makes the answer to the question “how does suffering manifest itself in health personnel?” more complex, a question that we try to address from the category of psychic suffering. Our objective is to recover the experience of the staff rather than to carry out a critique or analysis of the discomfort of others or to establish a debate with the authors who have devoted themselves to the subject.

El presente artículo es un ensayo académico, mediante el cual se pretende recuperar, organizar y presentar las condiciones en las que el personal de salud ha desempeñado sus labores durante la pandemia por Covid-19 y mostrar cómo el malestar psíquico que ahí se genera parece provenir de las significaciones colectivas, símbolos, vínculos, representaciones y pasiones  que interpelan la subjetividad. Para ello, se recuperan testimonios del personal médico que labora en hospitales de la Ciudad de México y del Estado de México. Se llegan a identificar seis fuentes de sufrimiento psíquico, que vuelve más compleja la respuesta a la pregunta “¿Cómo se manifiesta el sufrimiento en el personal de salud?”, pregunta que intentamos abordar desde la categoría de sufrimiento psíquico. Nuestro objetivo es recuperar la experiencia del personal más que realizar una crítica o análisis del malestar ajeno o establecer un debate con los autores que se han consagrado al tema.
