Una investigación de psicología social en contextos de pandemia

Abstract

Social reinsertion is a term that emerges in the context of the 21st century juvenile penal system. It refers to a process of functional reincorporation to social life, with adolescents in conflict with the law, and favors a focus on the individual and their psychosocial abilities to integrate into society. How do these subjects signify the “confinement” and the transition to their reinsertion? During the fieldwork in this research, the sociohistorical context abruptly changed, the global Covid-19 pandemic emerged as an event, so the institutional activities changed to “virtual” in “voluntary isolation”. With this the research faced a “new normal”, it was time to “stay home”. This work explores the life experiences of young people in the process of social reinsertion in an NGO, to understand the processes of subjectivation that they transverse, through a flexible and open route of intervention while historically another type of confinement was experienced.

Reinserción social es un término que emerge en el contexto del sistema penitenciario juvenil del siglo xxi. Refiere un proceso de reincorporación funcional a la vida social, de adolescentes en conflicto con la ley, y privilegia un enfoque sobre el individuo y sus habilidades psicosociales para integrarse en sociedad. ¿Cómo estos sujetos significan el “encierro” y la transición a su reinserción? Durante el trabajo de campo en esta investigación el contexto histórico social cambió abruptamente, surgió la pandemia Covid-19 como acontecimiento, entonces las actividades institucionales cambiaron a “virtual” en “aislamiento voluntario” y con ello la investigación afrontó una “nueva normalidad”, era tiempo de “quedarse en casa”. Este trabajo explora las experiencias de vida de jóvenes en proceso de reinserción en una ONG, para conocer los procesos de subjetivación por los que transitan mediante una ruta flexible y abierta de intervención mientras históricamente se vivía otro tipo de encierro.
