dc.description.abstract | El presente artículo pretende recuperar la dimensión crítica de la integración-exclusión hacia los pueblos indios en el ámbito de la salud, en tanto los índices más negativos los siguen presentando quienes menos tienen y quienes reciben una atención deficiente y no adecuada a sus especificidades culturales. Como antecedente se revisa la reglamentación internacional sobre el derecho a la salud de los pueblos indígenas y las iniciativas interculturales. Posteriormente se ilustran los daños de un problema emergente para la población mexicana como lo es la Diabetes mellitus tipo 2 (DM-T2). y se trata de manera particular, con datos cualitativos, las dificultades del padecer esta enfermedad entre un grupo maya-hablante del sureste mexicano. Recomendamos la capacitación intercultural para el personal de salud proponiendo un modelo intercultural para los grupos de ayuda mutua (GAMs) en zonas indígenas, como estrategia adecuada culturalmente. | es_MX |
dc.description.abstract | The aim of the present article wants to recover the critic dimension of the integration-exclusion of the indigenous peoples in the field of health, while the most negative rates are still present in the people who have less resource and receive a deficient and unsuitable attention to their cultural needs. To have a reference it is necessary to search the international regulations about health rights in indigenous peoples and intercultural initiatives. Subsequently, the damage of an emerging problem as diabetes type 2 is shown in Mexican society, and the difficulties of this illness are treat them as qualitative data in a Mayan speaking group of the Mexican southeast. We recommended an intercultural training for health personnel, proposing an intercultural framework to those groups in indigenous zones as an appropriate strategy. | en-US |
