| dc.description.abstract | Starting from the fact that an epidemic outbreak has become the pandemic that has affected humanity the most in the last century, an answer is provided by means of four successive questions: is an epidemic a natural phenomenon?, how has been the social response to epidemics?, is covid-19 a pandemic?, and, social sciences and humanities for the management of the pandemic? There are no obvious answers; it is argued that in order to present plausible answers, the interactions between biological and cultural issues must be considered. | en-US |
