Abstract:	Currently, the conservation-restoration of built patrimony, is based on approaches of historical and theoretical research. However, up to now, none of them has incorporated the epistemological reflection, in order to analyze the relationships between object and subject, beginning with theory, gnoseology and philosophy, that make contributions and new proposals on the field. La conservación-restauración del patrimonio edificado, actualmente está basada en criterios o ámbitos de investigación histórica y teórica, sin embargo a la fecha, ninguno de ellos ha tocado la reflexión epistemológica, para analizar la relación entre objeto y sujeto, a partir del la teoría, la gnoseología y la filosofía, que hace aportes y nuevos planteamientos sobre el área.
