Conservadurismo y práctica profesional en los estudios territoriales (1a. Parte)

Abstract

In spite that the interest for the study of space and its processes arose in geography, nnow, other fields of knowledge involving urbanist, planners, sociologist and anthropologist among others, guide their analysis to the understanding of the transformations that several territories have. With this purpose, practices such as representation, teaching and planning are recognized as fundamental to those hare called territorialist, who, upon inserting in the project of capitalist development, have exercised an activity characterized for being conservativa and prioritizing the interests of the ruling groups instead of majorities.

A pesar de que el interés por el estudio del espacio y sus procesos surgió en la geografía, en la actualidad otros campos del conocimiento como los urbanistas, planificadores, sociólogos y antropólogos entre otros, orientan sus análisis en comprender las transformaciones que diferentes territorios tienen. En este sentido se reconocen prácticas como la de representación, la enseñanza y la planeación como fundamentales de los aquí llamados territorialistas, quienes al insertarse en el proyecto de desarrollo capitalista han ejercido una actividad caracterizada en el ensayo como conservadora y priorizando los intereses de los grupos dominantes más que de las mayorías.
