Terminología en materia de conservación del patrimonio cultural

Abstract

The activity developed during the last 150 years in works now denominated as cultural patrimony, has tried to configurate itself using the terms that expres its objetives, reaches and working ways the best posible, the selection process and the use of more correct terms has been complex and produced some confutions because it reflects several objetives and policies to that patrimony, in spite of agreements internationaly stablished. I think its interesting to analize and try to define, in the simplest possible way, the more usual terms in this issue.

La actividad desarrollada durante unos 150 años sobre las obras que ahora denominamos patrimonio cultural, ha buscado configurarse utilizando los términos que mejor expresan sus objetivos, alcances y formas de trabajo. El proceso de selección y uso de los términos más adecuados ha sido complejo y se ha prestado a confusiones, por reflejar diversos objetivos y políticas hacia ese patrimonio, a pesar de acuerdos establecidos a nivel internacional. Creo interesante analizar y tratar de definir, en la forma más simple posible, los términos más usuales en esta materia.
