Chiapas: autodeterminación contra globalización.

Abstract

The analysis is placed in Chiapas, where land/territory is still the gravitational center of the historic conflict and reflects the importance of land as space for survival and social, cultural and ethnic reproduction of it's inhabitants. San Andres agreements are also analyzed, which were not complied by the government giving way to a low intensity war, with invaluable social and human costs.

EI análisis se sitúa en Chiapas, don de la tierra/territorio sigue siendo el centro gravitacional del conflicto histórico y plantea una reflexión sobre la importancia de la misma como espacio de sobrevivencia y reproducción social, cultural y étnica de los pueblos que la habitan, actualmente en lucha por su autodeterminaclón. Asimismo, analizamos brevemente los Acuerdos de San Andrés, la ruptura de estos por el gobierno federal y su opción por la guerra de baja intensidad, cuyo costo a nivel social y humano puede ser incalculable.

Cette analyse est localisee au Chiapas où la terre/le territoire continue à être le centre de gravité de ce conflit historique. L'article est aussi une reflection sur l'importance de la terre/ le territoire comme l'espace pour la survie et pour la reproduction sociale, culturelle et ethnique des gens qui y habitent et y luttent actuellement pour leur autodétermination. Les Accords de Saint-André Larraizar sont analysés brièvement ainsi que la manière dont ces Accords ne furent guère respectès par le Gouvernement fédéral lui-même, et son option pour une guerre à basse intensité dont le coût est incalculable.
