La zona

Abstract

This work is a reflection on the relationship between humans and their context and about the concepts of identity, territory and bodies in the globalized world. Rodrigo Plá’s film La Zona is the reference for this reflection and the title of this work. His film situates us in front of the urban image of the contrasting and overwhelming “wall” that is the symbol of displacement, exclusion, provoking and creating social and spatial problems.

El presente trabajo es una reflexión sobre la interacción de los seres humanos entre sí y con su entorno enfatizando los conceptos de identidad, territorialidad y cuerpos en un mundo globalizado. La película La Zona del director Rodrigo Plá es el marco de referencia para el título de este artículo y para realizar dicha reflexión. La trama nos coloca frente a la imagen urbana contrastante y controversial de un “muro” que se nos muestra como símbolo de despojo, desplazamiento y exclusión; engendrando, a su vez, acentuados conflictos sociales y espaciales.
