La obstinada dictadura y la fantasía del Estado en Chile

Abstract

40 years after the military coup of 1973, Chilean society seems to have developed strategies to cope with the grief, the burden and the consequences that the imposition of a military dictatorship and the introduction of “neoliberal revolution” had for its transformation. We review and put into question some facts that in the last four years have reopened the debate on the official memory of the country and the stubborn political, institutional and economic legacy of the military dictatorship for the production of political speeches concerning the history and society.

Al cumplirse 40 años del golpe militar de 1973, la sociedad chilena parece haber desarrollado estrategias para sobrellevar el duelo, la carga que significa la imposición de una dictadura militar y la introducción de “la revolución neoliberal”. En este artículo revisamos y ponemos en entredicho algunos hechos que en los últimos cuatro años han reabierto el debate sobre la memoria oficial del país y el obstinado legado político, institucional y económico de la dictadura militar para la producción de discursos políticos con respecto a la historia y la sociedad.
