Minería en México

Abstract

In this century the mining sector has been one of the most internationally stable in terms of attracting investment for the creation of projects. This trend has benefited Mexico, since it is one of the main producers of metals in the world, this is due to the multiple regulatory reforms that have occurred in recent decades focused on promoting private industry. The objective of this article is to analyze the mining behavior taking as reference some Mexican companies with great international participation, for this legislative reforms and financialization are analyzed. Likewise, the concept of Marxist accumulation is used as a basis to study the social pauperization of the populations where extractivism is carried out.

En este siglo el sector minero ha sido uno de los más estables internacionalmente en cuanto a captación de inversión para la creación de proyectos. Dicha tendencia beneficia a México, ya que es uno de los principales productores de metales en el mundo, esto se debe a las múltiples reformas normativas que se han dado en las últimas décadas enfocadas en promover la industria privada. El objetivo de este artículo es analizar el comportamiento minero tomando como referencia algunas empresas mexicanas con gran participación internacional, para ello se analizan las reformas legislativas y la financiarización. Asimismo, se utiliza como base el concepto de acumulación marxista para estudiar la pauperización social de las poblaciones en donde se realiza el extractivismo.
