Mi causa mueve mis pies : el caso del equipo de fútbol Zorros LGBT

Abstract

Esta investigación ofrece algunos elementos sobre la lucha simbólica sociocultural de la comunidad LGBT+ en México, ya que a pesar de los avances jurídicos en cuanto a los derechos de la comunidad, aún persiste en el espacio social y en determinados campos sociales (en este caso: en el campo de los deportes, y en específico del fútbol) ciertas masculinidades hegemónicas, cuyos atributos tradicionales son, precisamente, estas actitudes e ideas machistas, misóginas, heterosexistas y homófobas que resultan interesantes de estudiar y conocer. Pareciese que para algunos el tema de la lucha sociocultural de la comunidad LGBT+ ya está superado o lo suficientemente tratado, pero no resulta un trabajo en vano aportar elementos de cómo se perpetúa la segregación y la violencia simbólica. En el campo de los deportes, y particularmente en el fútbol, es un asunto pendiente por tratar, ya que han surgido una serie de equipos y organizaciones deportivas emergentes respecto a las estructuras tradicionales del fútbol, lo cual entendemos como un movimiento alterno frente a dichas instituciones deportivas legitimadas por varias generaciones. Uno de los equipos más activos de este movimiento es Zorros LGBT, cuyo caso nos aporta historias y significados que nos aproximan a la realidad del fútbol LGBT+ en México.

This research provide us elements about the sociocultural symbolic struggle of the LGBT+ community in Mexico, despite the legal advances regarding the rights of the community, it still persists in the social space and determined social fields (in this case: sports field and specifically soccer) certain hegemonic masculinities, whose traditional attributes are precisely these macho, misogynistic, heterosexist and homophobic ideas and attiutudes that are interesting to study and learn about. It seems that for some the issue of the sociocultural struggle of the LGBT + community is already overcome or sufficiently addressed; but it is not a vain work to contribute elements of how segregation and symbolic violence are perpetuated. In the sports field and soccer in particular, it is a pending issue to be addressed since a series of teams and sports organizations have emerged from these traditional soccer structures, which we understand as an alternative movement against said sports institutions legitimized by several generations . One of the most active teams in this movement is Zorros LGBT, whose case provides us with histories and meanings that bring us closer to the reality of LGBT + soccer in Mexico.
