Las niñas y los niños triquis migrantes de la escuela indígena Tomás Martínez Cruz en el poblado Miguel Alemán de la Costa de Hermosillo, su contexto cultural y sus condiciones socioeconómicas

Abstract

En la segunda mitad del siglo XX se presentó un proceso migratorio del sur al norte de México: un grupo amplio de integrantes de la comunidad Triqui, proveniente del estado de Oaxaca, llegaron a la costa de Hermosillo Sonora para establecerse en el poblado Miguel Alemán y así empezar a trabajar como jornaleros agrícolas. Tiempo después, dicha comunidad solicitó a las autoridades una escuela primaria que impartiera educación bilingüe con el fin de preservar su lengua materna y no ser discriminados por el resto de la población no indígena que habitaba en el mismo poblado. Es en el año 2001 cuando se pone en función la escuela primaria indígena “Tomás Martínez Cruz”. La presente investigación resalta la importancia de la educación de niñas y niños indígenas pertenecientes a esta comunidad tomando en cuenta aspectos tales como su contexto socio-cultural, económico y su realidad identitaria. ----- In the first half of the twentieth century, began a migration process from south to north of the Mexican nation, a large group of members of the Triqui community from the state of Oaxaca reached the coast of Hermosillo to settle in the town Miguel Aleman to work as farm laborers. After a while the community requested the authorities an elementary school imparting bilingual education in order to preserve their natal language and not being discriminated by the rest of the non-indigenous population living in the same village. It is in until 2001 when the indigenous primary school Tomás Martinez Cruz” start functioning. This research remarks the importance of the education of Indian children belonging to this community considering aspects like the socio-cultural context, economic environment and their identitary reality.
