Abstract

La presente investigación realiza un análisis teórico sobre el fenómeno de la desigualdad a partir de una reflexión crítica hacía la teoría económica ortodoxa, el cual parte de la pregunta de investigación: ¿Es el esquema de análisis económico de la teoría ortodoxa suficiente para precisar la génesis de la desigualdad, y por ende, un referente idóneo para la gestión de soluciones que impacten sobre ella? Para dar respuesta a esta interrogante se analizan los principios del esquema de análisis ortodoxo y se estudian dos propuestas que han derivado de aquél en torno al fenómeno de la desigualdad, las cuales se basan en estudios empíricos a partir de la teoría neoclásica del crecimiento. El fin último de esta investigación es abrir el debate teórico para buscar nuevas alternativas que tengan un mayor alcance explicativo sobre la desigualdad, y para ello se propone una serie de criterios que deben ser tomados en cuenta para llevar a cabo esta tarea; queda pendiente a futuras investigaciones su aplicación. Finalmente, cabe mencionar que el motivo por el cual se optó llevar a cabo el análisis en torno a la teoría ortodoxa es porque ésta ha sido el principal referente en las investigaciones y estudios respecto a la desigualdad; labor realizada sin considerar que probablemente este teoría carezca de suficiencia explicativa al respecto.------The present investigation carries out a theoretical analysis on the phenomenon of inequality from a critical reflection towards orthodox economic theory, which starts from the research question: Is the economic analysis scheme of orthodox theory sufficient to specify the genesis of inequality, and therefore, an ideal reference for the management of solutions that impact it? To answer this question, the principles of the orthodox analysis scheme are analyzed and two proposals that have been derived from the one around the phenomenon of inequality are studied, which are based on empirical studies based on the neoclassical theory of growth. The ultimate goal of this research is to open the theoretical debate to find new alternatives that have a greater explanatory scope on inequality, and for this, a series of criteria are proposed that must be taken into account to carry out this task; its application is pending future research. Finally, it is worth mentioning that the reason for choosing to carry out the analysis around orthodox theory is because it has been the main reference in research and studies regarding inequality; work done without considering that this theory probably lacks explanatory sufficiency in this regard.
